The Shire of Harvey will hold a free Arum Lily control workshop at the Leschenault Leisure Centre on Wednesday, 17 July from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.

Why do we need to control Arum Lily?

  • Arum Lily is a declared pest in Western Australia that has a rapid growth rate and high reproductive capacity
  • It can quickly establish and aggressively out-complete native plants
  • It reduces biodiversity, creates a dense monoculture and disrupts natural habitats
  • It reduces food and habitat for native wildlife
  • It reduces pasture productivity and is toxic to most stock, pets and humans

What resources are available through the workshop?

  • Free herbicide for use on private properties
  • Equipment loan to help manage Arum Lily
  • Education materials and control guidance

How do I sign up?

Visit the Leschenault Biosecurity Group website to register, email info@lbginc.org.au or call 0477 049 967.

The Arum Lily Control Workshop is funded by the State Natural Resources Management Program. The Shire of Harvey is delivering this workshup in partnership with the Shire of Capel and the Cities of Bunbury and Busselton.
